Synopsis of Supernatural
After John's wife, Mary, is killed by an evil supernatural being, he begins to raise his sons, Sam and Dean, to "hunt all things that go bump in the night". Twenty-two years later, Sam and Dean set out on a journey to find their father, who has recently gone missing. They fight plenty of evil along the way, and when they finally find their father, he reveals to them that he has found the demon who killed their mother and that he has found a way to track down the demon and kill it.
In the midst of all these things, Sam begins to develop scary abilities of seeing visions, including death visions and visions of people dying before they actually do. Somehow, these visions have a relationship with the demon who killed his mother and its esoteric plans, which seem to be all about Sam.
Their father ends up dying after striking a deal with the demon that killed their mother, and the boys who are now alone are determined to finish the work their father started. But as their dying father, John says his last words to Dean; there are disturbing revelations about Sam, who seems to be an inherent part of the demon's plans of doom.
As the boys go about "the family business" after their father's death, they are faced with the realization that their "hunt" is not merely about slashing and killing demons and monsters. It is not even merely about the demon that killed their mother. They also have to face and deal with tougher creatures like angels, reapers, and even Death itself.
